ZION ALERT! -
SOUND THE ALARM IN ZION!

The Beasts that are to come

Babylon, the City is destroyed before the 'mark of the beast' is enforced. Babylon will be hated by those of the north, just as Alexander the Great and his father Phillip II of Macedonia also hated it. After Babylon falls, then the 'mark of the beast' will be enforced. So Babylon is not going to enforce the 'mark of the beast'! The king of the north is! The second beast of Revelation 13 who is transported to Babylon after the city is built, will be set there in place. The world will view him as a PEACE-maker. He will be seen as a conciliatory figure, a type of saviour to the region. But together with his beast partner they will cause astounding devastation.

Although The bible speaks of the king of Babylon as the 'leader of the land of wickedness', [in Hab 13:3] God doesn't actually name him. The substance of his prophecies confirms what John said about this leader of Babylon, whom John calls  'The Beast', This leader will crush Babylon in conquest and will set up his power-base there just as Alexander the Great did.

Rev 13:13 And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.

Rev 13:14 Because of the signs he [The other Beast] was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

Rev 13:15 He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

Rev 13:16 He [The Beast, later in time] also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,

Rev 13:17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Rev 13:18 This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666

Rev 11:7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss [Apollyon] will attack them, and overpower and kill them [The Two Prophets of God].

Rev 13:1 And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.

Rev 13:2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

Rev 13:3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.

Rev 13:4 Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast,[The 1st Beast] and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”

Rev 13:5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months.

Rev 13:8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

Rev 13:11 Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon

.

Rev 13:12 He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.

Rev 13:14 Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

Rev 13:15 He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

Rev 13:17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Rev 13:18 This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666.

Rev 14:9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand,

Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.”

Rev 16:2 The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly and painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image.

Rev 16:10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men gnawed their tongues in agony

Rev 16:13 Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Rev 17:3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.

Rev 17:7 Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman [The harlot] and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

Rev 17:8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss [Apollyon] and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come.

Rev 17:11 The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.

Rev 17:12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast.

Rev 17:13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.

Rev 17:16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute.[Later in Time] They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

Rev 17:17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God’s words are fulfilled.

Rev 19:19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army.

Rev 19:20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet [Apollyon] who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

Rev 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Rev 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Da 7:2 Daniel said: “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea. 3 Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.

Da 7:5 “And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, ‘Get up and eat your fill of flesh!’

Da 7:6 “After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.

Da 7:7 “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.

Da 7:11 “Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire. 12 (The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.)

Da 7:19 “Then I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. 20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

Da 7:23 “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.

Like Alexander, The Great, The beast will consider himself to be a god and will demand worship of himself. The holdouts will be Egypt and its allies, but these will be crushed utterly, and have no part of the Beast’s Empire. Egypt will be allied with Libya, and the third, I’m guessing, may be Saudi Arabia, but it may be Yemen, Somalia, or any one of the North Africa Moslem states. These holdouts to the insurgency of the King of Greece (who is called the King of the North) will be termed the King of the South. King of Greece: Dan 11:30 "Ships of the western coastlands will oppose him, and he will lose heart. Then he will turn back and vent his fury against the Holy Covenant. He will return and show favor to those who forsake the Holy Covenant." the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. 32 With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the Covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him. Dan 11:39 The King of Greece will seek the help of a foreign god’. This foreign god is one who had dominion over another religious culture, that is, one other than Greek, and he sees himself as an ‘imam’. This ruler of the heavenly realm will lose his dominion to the King of Greece, but will cooperate to unite the Middle East against a common ‘foe’ – the Lord Christ!

This other horn that came up and was more imposing than the others is the foreign god – a god foreign to the Greek Macedonian Empire. This is when Death [The Greek ruler] and Hades [The little horn] (also called the Grave) become unified in purpose (Rev 6:8). This is the Fourth Seal. V23 "He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. v24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king (called Hades or Grave – a spirit ruler) will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. v25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time. v26 But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. v27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His Kingdom will be an everlasting Kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey Him’."

You’ll note that the Third Seal (Rev 6:5) speaks of the rider of a black horse with a pair of scales in his hand and weighing up his options. He notes that the ‘foreign god is destroying the saints of the Most High. This ‘foreign god’ has corrupted the people of God – the House of Israel, and is defeating them along with the saints. They have used a combination of oil (petroleum) of which they have a strong monopoly, and wine, which has the House of Israel in a stupor. This wine is the propaganda of Satan, who has made the nations drink the maddening WINE of Babylon’s corruption (Rev 14:8). Babylon is Satan’s city of old, and the place where successive empires ruled, and where Alexander the Great died. So the rider of the black horse is just biding his time and waiting until the right balance of circumstances permits him to make his move. Then he will come like a whirlwind and strike down the Persian Empire and seize the Middle East. He will reset boundaries and carve up the Middle East into sovereign states for those who please him, setting them up as rulers [10 rulers] – just as Alexander the Great did. The foreign god, however, will have issues with three of these sovereign states and they will fall before him. So if this is the black horse and rider, who then is the pale horse? It’s the same horse and rider transformed as a potential saviour, who like Alexander, comes and conquers and then is considered a god by the conquered. Suddenly, he is not a black horse but a pale horse, and then along comes Grave – the foreign god – right behind him. You’ll notice that this spirit ruler on the black horse is weighing up the circumstances and considering the odds, and determining the outcome of moving against the Prince of Persia. With his heart set on death and destruction he successfully makes his move, but only after the prince of Persia has weakened himself fulfilling what is written about him in the Second Seal: Rev 6:34

"When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" 4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was GIVEN POWER to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a LARGE SWORD." ‘A fiery red one’ is a perfect description of this prince of Persia who has transformed his nation from moderate complacency to a virtual fireeating dragon set on the destruction of Israel, America and Europe. They Shi’ites are already waging war against the Sunnis under his auspices, and both share a mutual hatred of Americans and Jews. When the Leader assumed power in the guise of Ahmadinejab, the war in Iraq took a giant turn for the worst. He even has Muslims slaying Muslims, but his rhetoric is hatred for Americans and Israelis above all else. Even more ominously, he has been given a LARGE SWORD and he’s prepared to use it!

At that time, it will be obvious to Islam that the Holy Land is a no go area, and the conquest of it and the Holy City Jerusalem will no longer be viable against the invincible forces operating there. The prince of Greece will be convinced that it can be won over by flattery and cunning. And he will be partially right! Meanwhile, the prince of Persia is determined to wipe Israel off the map and thereby forestall any rise of Judah to invincibility. He’ll have just a very short season to do this, but he’ll pay a very great price for his contempt for God’s City and His people.

The FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE correspond to the GREAT IMAGE that Nebuchednezzar saw.

1. The first is the country of Babylonia (Iraq),

2. The second is Persia (Iran - and the nations of Medes),

3. The third is the region of the Greeks and Macedonians (Slavic and Bosnians), and

4. The fourth is the unified territories of the former Alexandrian Empire.

This leader is called the BEAST and is named DEATH. After the conquest of all the Moslem/Arabic territories, and the appointment of 10 regional rulers, another beast or horn arises FROM AMONG THEM. He destroys three of these puppet kingdoms and seizes power after being planted in Babylon. His name is HADES, and he follows DEATH (Rev 6:8) - the first BEAST. This second BEAST or FALSE PROPHET exercises ALL THE POWER of the FIRST BEAST and unilaterally supports him and causes the inhabitants of the earth to worship him (Rev 13:11-12).

Before the time when the rider on the black horse makes his appearance in the Middle East, which is described in the early part of Zechariah's vision (Zech 1:8), the site of the Holy City is measured (Zech 2:1-2) in preparation for the building of the Temple which God has stated will be built (Zech 1:16). Then God has this to say in Zech 2:6-7 "Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north," declares the LORD, "for I have scattered you to the four winds of heaven," declares the LORD. "Come, O Zion! Escape, you who live in the DAUGHTER OF BABYLON!" This is NOT Babylon but Babylon's DAUGHTER - the one who succeeds her and takes her name! This is the kingdom of the Medes and Persians just as Bible history clearly states! Now notice what God says: V8 "For this is what the LORD ALMIGHTY SAYS: "AFTER HE HAS HONOURED ME..." Here GOD IS SPEAKING! And He is speaking of the RULER of the DAUGHTER OF BABYLON that is PERSIA and the MEDES! There is no translation of the Bible that gets this right! The Jerusalem Bible comes closest. The NKJV has God actually sending Himself on a mission! A crazy translation! Even the NIV descends into complete confusion. But these verses actually speak of the RULER of the DAUGHTER OF BABYLON HONOURING GOD.

Although Islam rejects the worshiping of idols, they have a pronounced proclivity to worship their LEADERS. They are so devout in this regard that they idolize any image of their national LEADERS with unswerving devotion. It will be a natural progression to worship an image of a LEADER that will arise. When they are presented with an image of the first BEAST; and especially an image that will speak, they will embrace it with great fervour.  Rev 13:15 "He was given POWER to give BREATH to the IMAGE of the FIRST BEAST, so that it could SPEAK and cause all who refused to worship the IMAGE to be killed." So who is to set it there? The Bible says it will be two women with the wind in their wings. This is a clear reference to the two branches of humanity symbolized by the two legs of the great image, and referred to as the King of the North and the King of the South. The wind in their wings is the wind that begins to blow on the earth after the 144,000 are sealed. These winds are further described in Dan 7:2. The woman in the BASKET or ephah arises from the ten toes or horns and begins to rule with their consent. This woman, who is the little horn who arises from among the ten toes, horns or kings, uproots three of these ten. The King of the North becomes stronger than the King of the South and sets out to destroy him, Egypt,Libya and the Nubians fall before him (Dan 11:42-43).

This stern-faced king or beast (Rev 13:1) that will arise from the four kingdoms that formed from Alexander's Greek Empire, is to be destroyed but not by human power. His empire will comprise 10 nations which are represented by the ten toes or ten horns. The image of Daniel 5 shows that the ten kings will be divided into two groups; symbolized by the two legs, with each group representing the two feet. Even the toes on each foot will not be properly welded together, but will be brittle with very little cohesion. The Bible further describes this division of the ten kings (toes, horns). These two sectors of the Empire are called the King of the North and the King of the South. The legs of the image represent the long passage of time until the feet with the ten toes appear.

We can’t pass without mentioning something about the Violent One. The prophet Habakkuk mentions him: Hab 2:5 "Indeed wine betrays him; he is arrogant and never at rest. Because he is as greedy as the Grave and like Death is never satisfied, he gathers to himself all nations and takes captive all the peoples."  You’ll recall that Death rides the fourth or pale horse of the Apocalypse (Rev 6:8) for a while, until the Violent One becomes available. Presently, he is temporarily indisposed (Rev 9:1, 11), but Death (a Very powerful Demon) will shill for him in the meantime and prepare the way. The Violent One has all the characteristics of Death but he has one other characteristic – he’s an expert at destruction, and this is why he is called the Destroyer. By comparison, Death is a bit of a wimp, though most won’t think so when he rallies a quarter of the earth to bring the destruction of a quarter of the earth.

There is as wide a breadth of diversity in their natures (Demons as there is in human beings. Some are far more wicked than others, others possess great cunning and subtlety, others are morbid and melancholy. But they all have one characteristic: they all fear and tremble before God: James 2:19 "You believe there is one God? Good! Even the demons believe that – and shudder."  Yes, these demons tremble and shudder and shake with fear! They know how quickly things can go wrong for them if God turns on them. One great fear they have is being transported to the Abyss. This was exemplified when Christ was on the earth:  Luke 8:29 "For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man." V30 "Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" "Legion," he replied, because many demons had gone into him. And they begged Him repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss."  The Abyss is not a friendly place to be! It’s ruled by an inmate who is an absolute tyrant, and is known as the Destroyer (Rev 9:11). Death is his seat-warmer, the one who prepares the way for him. The evil tyrant Death is Satan’s best option until God gives the decision for Abaddon (also called Apollyon) to rule. And then he will be let out of the Abyss. He is the last of the heads of the beast, although of the seven, he is really the eighth. He will cause astounding destruction, and all to Satan’s complete satisfaction!

Even David spoke of these heads of the beast long ago: Ps 74:12-14 "But you, O God, are my King from of old; you bring salvation upon the earth. It was you who split open the sea by your great power; you broke the heads of the monsters in the waters. It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathon and gave him as food for the creatures of the desert." And Isaiah: Isa 27:1 "In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword, his fierce, great and powerful sword, Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; He will slay the monster of the sea."
